Simple Date

Terms of Service

Last updated October 27, 2026

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Simple Date (the "Service," "we," "us"). By creating an account, you agree to these Terms. If you don't agree, don't use Simple Date.

1. Eligibility

2. What Simple Date Is — and Isn't

Simple Date helps members find each other and plan real, in-person dates. We are not a matchmaking guarantee, a background-screening service, or a substitute for your own judgment.

We do not conduct criminal background checks or sex-offender registry checks on members. We verify an email address and require members to confirm they are 18 or older, but we cannot and do not confirm anyone's real-world identity, criminal history, or intentions. You are solely responsible for exercising care and judgment when communicating with, meeting, or dating anyone through the Service.

3. Your Safety

Meeting someone in person always carries some risk, no matter how you met. A few basics we ask every member to follow:

4. Conduct We Don't Allow

You agree not to, and not to help anyone else:

5. Content You Share

You keep ownership of the photos, messages, profile song links, "charter" lines, and other content you submit. By posting it, you give Simple Date a limited license to host, store, and display that content within the Service, to the audience your settings intend (e.g., a public Founding 150 line you opt to make public, or a private message visible only to the person you sent it to). You're responsible for making sure you have the right to share whatever you post, including any linked music.

6. Reputation, Flags & Reports

Simple Date's two-circle reputation system and no-show reporting rely on what members tell us. We don't independently verify every report, and we make reasonable efforts to act on them fairly, but we don't guarantee the accuracy of any flag, report, or reputation status. We may review, adjust, or remove flags at our discretion.

7. Blocking & Ending Contact

Any member may block another member at any time. Blocking is mutual, ends any current planned date between the two of you, and removes each of you from the other's Discover. You can review and remove your blocks anytime from your Profile.

8. Membership Tiers & Payments

Simple Date offers Free, Bronze, Gold, and Platinum membership tiers with different features, as described in the app. During our early launch period, upgrades are arranged with the Simple Date team directly and confirmed by an administrator rather than automatic recurring billing. We'll clearly disclose pricing before any charge, and you can ask questions or request a refund by contacting hello@simpledateapp.com. We may change tier pricing or features going forward, with notice in the app.

9. The Founding 150

The Founding 150 program offers the first members who claim a seat complimentary Platinum access and a place in the public Reservation Book, as described in the app at the time you join. This is a promotional program, not a permanent contractual entitlement — but we intend to honor the Founding 150 perks for members who've already claimed a seat, and any future changes to the program will apply to new signups, not retroactively strip perks already granted.

10. Suspension & Termination

You may delete your account at any time by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate any account that violates these Terms, poses a safety risk to other members, or for other reasonable cause, with or without notice depending on severity.

11. Third-Party Content

Profile songs are embedded directly from Spotify or Apple Music using their official players. We don't host or control that content — your use of it is subject to those platforms' own terms.

12. SMS / Text Messaging Terms

Simple Date can send you account-related text messages — password reset links, date confirmations, and occasional service updates — if you provide your mobile number and check the texting consent box at signup or in your Profile.

13. Disclaimers

Simple Date is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. We don't guarantee you'll find a match, that any member's information is accurate, or that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free. You use the Service, and you meet other members, entirely at your own risk.

14. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Simple Date and its founders are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service or your interactions with other members — including anything that happens during or after an in-person date. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the amount you paid us, if any, in the 12 months before the claim.

15. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold Simple Date harmless from any claim arising from your violation of these Terms or your misconduct toward another member.

16. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Nevada, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute will be resolved in the state or federal courts located in Nevada, unless we agree otherwise in writing.

17. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms as Simple Date grows. If we make a material change, we'll post the new version here with an updated date, and where practical, notify members in the app.

18. Contact

Questions about these Terms: hello@simpledateapp.com. Safety concerns or reports: trust@simpledateapp.com.
